At this point, if you haven't bought someone a gift this holiday season, you're probably getting them a gift card, and while that may not be the shiny new thing that everyone loves to unwrap and discover, when it comes to golf equipment that should be custom fit, it's a good way to go. You could dash into a pro shop or specialty stores for a dozen balls, a new shirt or quarter-zip, or maybe some cool golf shoes if you know the person's size, but the time for going online and getting something delivered is past.

The Cobra 3DP Tour irons are 3D printed instead of cast, forged or milled.

But, before Release Season 2026 arrives, it's a great time to look back and think about some of the eye-catching golf equipment that helped to define the competitive season that is now in the books.

And if you have been thinking about getting a new wearable device to track your fitness and wear on the course, I want to tell you how my Whoop helped reveal a heart condition I never felt or would have known about if I hadn't seen some crazy numbers late this summer.

Happy holidays to all.
