  • PGA Tour golfer Akshay Bhatia and his fiancée Presleigh Schultz recently got married.
  • The wedding took place near the Bahamas, where Schultz caddied for Bhatia's first professional win.
  • Bhatia joked that his $180,000 winnings from the Hero World Challenge would help pay for the wedding.
  • Schultz has previously caddied for Bhatia, including during his 2023 Barracuda Championship win.

Nearly four years after Akshay Bhatia earned his first professional victory in the Bahamas, he and his now wife returned there and tied the knot.

Bhatia and Presleigh Schultz made it official and some of their wedding photos surfaced on social media on Friday.

Bhatia recently played in the Hero World Challenge for a second time and joked ahead of the tournament that his winnings would help pay for the wedding. He would go on to claim $180,000 from the prize pool.

“Yeah, I didn't really do much planning,” he admitted before the tournament when asked about the wedding. “I pretty much just helped with, you know, I got my tux and got it fitted and that's about it.”

When Bhatia won the 2023 Barracuda Championship, he said of his fiancée, “She’s been through it all with me. You know, I couldn’t imagine my life without her. I couldn’t imagine being on this journey without her by my side.”

Schultz has caddied for Bhatia at the Masters Par 3 Contest. In one of the pictures posted on social, the two of them are swinging golf clubs.
