Field officially set for 2025 PNC Championship in Orlando

Dec. 10, 2025, 1:00 p.m. ET

No Gary Player and grandson, no Tiger and Charlie Woods but the PNC Championship 20-team field was officially announced on Monday for next week in Orlando.

Major champions Stewart Cink, Tom Lehman, Davis Love III and Nick Price have claimed the last four places for the two-person, 36-hole team competition taking place Dec. 20-21 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes.

The field contains eight former world No. 1s and six past champions, including reigning champion and record six-time winner, Bernhard Langer. The 20 professionals have won more than 40 major titles and more than 900 international titles. The only player making his debut this year is 41-year-old Gary Woodland, who returned to professional golf early last year after undergoing successful surgery for a brain tumor in September 2023. He will be partnering with his father, Dan.

This year’s field includes three women, all returning from the 2024 event. Nelly Korda is playing with her dad, Petr, while Annika Sorenstam will play with her son, Will McGee.  Also in the field is Steve Stricker’s talented daughter Izzi Stricker. A sophomore at University of Wisconsin, Izzi is arriving in top form having won both the Wisconsin Women's Amateur Championship and Wisconsin Women's Match Play Championship this year.

Woods announced last week during a press conference at the Hero World Challenge that due to his recent back surgery, he and Charlie wouldn't be playing this year. Last year, Team Woods lost in a playoff. With Player withdrawing this week, Lee Trevino is now the oldest player in the field at 86 years and is the only player who has played in every edition of the PNC Championship. The youngest amateur is 14-year-old Will McGee while the youngest professional is the recently engaged 27-year-old Korda.

Love and his son, Dru IV, won the title in 2012 and 2018 but have been ineligible since their last win as Dru pursued pro aspirations. With no status on any pro tour, Dru is once again eligible.
