Meet the 2 players who earned a spot on LIV Golf via International Series
Nick Stavas- Scott Vincent and Yosuke Asaji earned spots on the 2026 LIV Golf roster by finishing first and second in the International Series standings.
- Vincent returns to LIV Golf after being relegated in 2024, having previously won the inaugural International Series in 2022.
- LIV Golf recently expanded the International Series promotion spots from one to two in an effort to gain Official World Golf Ranking favor.
Josele Ballester earned his first professional victory Saturday while two other players secured a spot on the 2026 LIV Golf roster. The PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank served as the finale of the 2025 International Series — a set of nine events sanctioned by the Asian Tour and financially bolstered by LIV Golf.
There are points standings based on how each player performs across all nine events and the top two in the standings at the end are added to the LIV Golf roster for the following season. Less than a month ago, only one player was set to earn membership, but the league doubled that (and made other major changes) in hopes of gaining favor with the Official World Golf Ranking.
Zimbabwe's Scott Vincent became the first player to finish atop the International Series rankings twice and will return to LIV Golf after being relegated in 2024. Vincent initially earned his spot by winning the inaugural International Series in 2022.

Vincent placed 42nd in Saudi, but it didn't really matter. He finished with 325.59 points in the rankings — a cool 40 points clear of everyone else — thanks in large part to his victory at International Series Morrocco and a solo second at the Jakarta International Championship in Indonesia. Still, he was feeling the pressure this week.
“I woke up at about 4:30, which was two hours before I was hoping to," Vincent said Saturday. "Then you start playing all the different scenarios in your head, which was not what I was hoping for. I wanted to come out here and just play freely and give it my best, but yeah, I was nervous. Obviously not knowing and not trying to look at leaderboards, you don’t know how much of a cushion you have. You don’t want to be the guy who’s ahead and loses, all those things.”
Vincent was a member of LIV Golf's Torque GC in 2022, playing in seven events but failing to finish better than 14th in any of them. He found more success in 2023 as a member of Iron Heads GC, securing a pair of solo fourth place finishes in Singapore and Jeddah. The following season was a struggle for Vincent, though, as he finished 50th out of 57 in the 2024 LIV standings, leading to his relegation.
But now, he's earned his way back into the league.
“I think it’s still settling in,” Vincent said. “Right now, all I want to do is go see my family. Yeah, we’ll head towards them tonight and can’t wait to see them."
Joining him will be Japan's Yosuke Asaji, who ended up second in the International Series standings with 285.3 points. In past years, that wouldn't have earned him a spot on the LIV Golf roster, but that changed earlier this month when the league made two spots available via the International Series in a quest to make its events eligible for OWGR points.
Asaji, a veteran of the Asian Tour who won the 2025 Moutai Singapore Open, missed the cut in Saudi and narrowly finished ahead of Miguel Tabuena, who needed to a T-6 or better in order to catch Asaji. He fell one shot short of that and Asaji punched his ticket.
“Winning the Moutai Singapore Open was very, very valuable for me because after winning the Singapore Open, I noticed that I am No. 2 in the International Series Rankings, and I thought, ‘oh, I have a pathway to LIV Golf, I have a chance to do this’.“
