WATCH: Andrew Putnam makes hole-in-one at PGA Tour's WWT Championship
Nick StavasAndrew Putnam was cruising right along Saturday, sitting at 5 under for the day and bogey-free through 13 holes in the third round of the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship in Cabo San Lucas.
Things started to go sideways as Putnam made bogey on the par-5 14th and another at No. 15, dropping two shots and plummeting down the leaderboard, but he bounced back in the best way possible. Putnam hit a beautiful shot into the par-3 16th at El Cardonal, which landed about a foot short and right of the flag, took one hop and dropped into the cup for a hole-in-one. Check it out:
Bogey-bogey-ace. Just how he drew it up. Unfortunately for Putnam, the round ended on a sour note. He gave those two shots up at 14 and 15, got them right back at No. 16 and then gave them up again when he made double bogey at the par-5 18th to close out a bizarre back nine scorecard.

Putnam is part of the group of players fighting tooth-and-nail to stay on the PGA Tour. He entered the week No. 111 in the FedEx Cup Fall standings. The top 100 keep their card. A strong finish Sunday will certainly help Putnam's cause. He was in a tie for 26th at 13 under when he finished Saturday's third round, which saw him sign for a 3-under 69.
