Several years ago, my wife had an epiphany: I am probably the easiest guy in the world to shop for during the holidays. Obviously, I love golf and tech gadgets, but I also love music, traveling, fitness, college football and cocktails. And, she realized, every year for the last few decades, I have published gear guides and holiday wish lists. I'm literally showing her things that I'd love to get.

This year, I'm changing things up a little and sharing with you several things that I have enjoyed throughout 2025. You won't find clubs or balls here because I genuinely believe that what works for me might not work for you, so knowing what driver or putter I use should not influence what you decide to buy for yourself or ask someone to get you for the holidays. However, when it comes to apparel, footwear and accessories, it might be helpful and it could give you some ideas if you are looking for a last-minute gift for a golf-loving guy.

FootJoy Premiere Series Field golf shoes

FootJoy Premiere Series Field golf shoes

As the song says, “So clean, so fresh.” A white pair of Field golf shoes is as classic as golf footwear gets, and unlike the leather-soled Premieres from back in the day, these don't weigh a ton when the course gets wet. The Field blends modern cushioning, support and traction elements in a shoe that looks as sharp as a 1-iron.

B. Draddy Cashmere Hoodie

B.Draddy Meyer Hoodie 2.0

A little bougie, perhaps, but the B. Draddy Meyer Hoodie 2.0 became one of my favorite things to wear this fall. It’s ultra-soft, shockingly warm for its weight and makes any outfit feel more pulled together when you wear it. Lots of golf apparel can make the transition from the course to the street, but this one does it in style.

Yeti Rambler 20 oz. Mug

Yeti 20 oz. Travel Mug

I made a point to stop drinking caffeine after 12 p.m. this year and stuck to it, but after the alarm goes off at 6:00 a.m. and the coffee is made, it goes in this mug. I won one of these Yeti travel mugs at Oakmont (humble brag, I know) and love it because drinks stay hot all morning, it fits in my car’s cup holder, and the spill-resistant lid has saved my car’s interior and my desk more times than I’d care to admit.

Adidas CodeChaos golf shoes

Adidas Code Chaos golf shoes

In the Adidas world, I’d always been a Tour360 guy, but this summer I found myself reaching for Code Chaos shoes more and more. They’re extremely comfortable, waterproof and provide all the traction I need.

Johnnie-O Original Polo

The Johnnie-O Original 4-button polo

On the course, I wear performance fabrics because once cotton polo shirts get damp from sweat, they stay that way. Off the course, however, the Original Polo from Johnnie-O is soft, has a classic shape and gives you that awesome I-just-played-Riviera-and-am-ready-for-fish-tacos-by-the-beach look. Sadly, I have never played Riveria.

Puma Dealer golf pants

Puma Dealer golf pants.

Just about every guy starts his golf journey wearing khaki pants he already owns. That's fine, but I started investing in golf pants several years ago and will never go back. The Puma Dealer pants are comfortable, stretch when you bend down behind a putt, are lightweight, and wick moisture. The tiny pocket inside the main front pocket is perfect for a quarter-sized ball marker.

Salt Optic Max Sun sunglasses

Salt Max Sun glasses

I don’t usually lose sunglasses, so after getting a pair of these Salt Max Sun shades three years ago in a goodie bag at a member-guest, I’ve worn them nearly every day since. The lens clarity is startling, they’re light on your face, and the style is timeless.

Momentous Fuel

Momentous Fuel drink mix

I bring an insulated water bottle filled with ice to the course on hot days so I can refill it every few holes, and I keep a few Momentous Fuel packets in my golf bag to mix in on the back nine. It’s not overly sweet, has plenty of electrolytes, and makes staying hydrated much easier.

Club Glove Tour Travelers bag

Club Glove Tour Traveler SB bag

A small truck follows the PGA Tour from tournament to tournament and carries players’ bags so pros can opt not to fly with their clubs, while some golfers bring their sticks with them everywhere they go. In both cases, you see this travel bag from Club Glove more than any other, protecting the gear of the best players in the world. It’s an investment, but so are my woods and irons.

Jones Sports Rover stand bag

Jones Sports Rover stand bag

Woods and putter in the back, irons in the middle, wedges in the front. That’s how I arrange clubs in my bag, and the Rover from Jones Sports does a nice job of keeping things held together. It has plenty of pockets for balls, a rain jacket, and a snack.

Turtlebox Ranger speaker

Turtlebox Ranger speaker

From the back nine at TPC River Highlands to tailgaiting in Baton Rouge, my Turtlebox Ranger got a workout this year and never flinched. It sounds great, is so water-resistant it can be submerged in 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes and is insanely rugged.

Apple AirPods Pro 3

Apple AirPods Pro 3

I don’t have this updated version of Apple’s flagship in-ear headphones, I’ve got the previous generation, but they’re the only models that I have tried that stay in my ears so well when I exercise that I can literally forget that I’m wearing them. The noise-cancellation on flights is sensational, and they recharge quickly.
