XXIO 14 drivers bring lighter feel and new face design for 2026
XXIO updates its flagship drivers with a new titanium alloy, improved stability, and the brand’s first adjustable hosel.
David Dusek- XXIO has released the new 14 and 14+ drivers, designed for golfers with slower to moderate swing speeds.
- For the first time, XXIO has included an adjustable hosel to allow for loft, lie, and face angle changes.
- The drivers feature a new titanium alloy face and refined aerodynamics to improve ball speed and accuracy.
- The XXIO 14+ model is available for players with slightly faster swings who prefer a more compact head shape.

Who it’s for: Slower to moderate-speed golfers seeking an ultralight, easy-to-swing driver that delivers higher ball speed, consistent launch, and improved accuracy.
What you should know: XXIO has overhauled its flagship driver with a new titanium alloy that expands the sweet spot, refined the aerodynamics, and, for the first time, added an adjustable hosel.
The Deep Dive: XXIO drivers are never going to show up in the bags of PGA or LPGA Tour players. Within Dunlop Sports, that’s Srixon’s job, which frees XXIO to focus entirely on a different type of golfer. The brand designs its woods around the needs of slower-swinging players, seniors, and recreational women golfers — players who benefit more from easy launch, consistent contact, and stability than raw horsepower. That philosophy continues in the XXIO 14 and XXIO 14+ drivers, which arrive with a bold new look that breaks sharply from the past four generations. But the more meaningful update is the introduction of a new face material.

XXIO is using VR-Titanium in the hitting area of each driver, an alloy that allows engineers to create a thinner variable-thickness face and reduce material in key body sections without giving up durability. The result is more flex at impact. That helps increase ball speed on center strikes, but it becomes even more valuable when contact wanders toward the heel or toe. Those misses typically cost slower-swinging golfers the most distance, and the expanded flexible region is designed to preserve more speed on those swings.
The company has also advanced its face-and-body construction. Previous XXIO drivers used a design called Rebound Frame, which alternated flexible and rigid regions to broaden the sweet spot and enhance speed. In the XXIO 14 and 14+ drivers, that system evolves into ULTiFLEX. Using the new alloy, engineers created a pattern of thicker and thinner sections that absorb and return energy more efficiently. The design increases the overall bending of the head during impact, reduces energy loss, and helps tighten dispersion.

Aerodynamics also play a role. The latest version of ActivWing, the small notch located low in the heel area of the crown, has been refined. It has never been about raw speed. ActivWing helps manage airflow during the downswing so the club can square more consistently through the hitting area. With the addition of a new step on the sole to complement the crown step, airflow is channeled even more effectively. XXIO says the changes help produce a 23 percent tighter impact pattern, which is a meaningful development for golfers who tend to leave the face open.
Finally, XXIO has added a feature that most golfers have been using for nearly two decades: an adjustable hosel. XXIO’s reluctance to adopt adjustability wasn’t philosophical — it was practical. Adding weight high in the head compromises the ultralight feel that XXIO players expect. But the new 12-setting Quick Tune System is built around a shortened, hollow hosel structure, allowing golfers to adjust loft, lie, and face angle by up to 1.5 degrees without giving up the balance and swingability that define the line.

For golfers who want lightweight performance but generate slightly more speed (generally in the 90 to 100 mph range), the XXIO 14+ driver offers the same core technologies in a more compact profile. Available through select dealers, it produces a firmer, more traditional sound, generates a slightly lower flight, and presents a look that will feel familiar to golfers who prefer classic driver shaping.
Taken together, the XXIO 14 and XXIO 14+ represent the most comprehensive refresh the brand has made in years. They remain light, smooth, and easy to swing, but now offer a wider performance window, more adjustability, and improved energy transfer for the players who benefit from those traits the most.
