Inbee Park, a mother of two, won't return to the LPGA in 2026
Beth Ann Nichols- LPGA Hall of Famer Inbee Park has no plans to return to the tour in the upcoming year.
- Park gave birth to her first daughter in April 2023 and a second daughter in October 2024.
- The seven-time major winner will serve as an IGF board member in 2026.
- The LPGA's maternity policy allows players up to two years to return to competition after childbirth.
Inbee Park recently posted a batch of gorgeous photos from a first birthday celebration for her youngest daughter, Yeonseo. The LPGA Hall of Famer last competed on the LPGA in August of 2022 at the AIG Women’s British Open. The 37-year-old gave birth to her first child, daughter Inseo, in April 2023. Yeonseo arrived in October 2024.
Six years ago, the LPGA changed its maternity policy to allow players more flexibility. Athletes now have up to two years after the child's birth to get back to playing.
Park's manager told Golfweek that the seven-time major winner has no plans to return to the LPGA next year but will still be involved in the game as an IGF board member in 2026. Park, a 21-time winner on the tour, won gold at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. She qualified for the LPGA Hall of Fame that same year.
