McDonald's heart to grow 3 sizes with launch of The Grinch Meal. See new menu item.
The Grinch Meal is coming to the United States for the first time after McDonald's launched it in Canada in 2024.
Greta CrossJust in time for the holidays, McDonald's is releasing a limited-edition meal inspired by one of Christmas' grumpiest characters: the Grinch.
The Grinch Meal launches on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at participating restaurants nationwide for a limited time and features a brand-new menu item: Dill Pickle "Grinch Salt" McShaker Fries. The fries are served with dill pickle seasoning on the side. Customers can toss the fries and seasoning together in a McShaker bag to create their own tangy potatoes.
"THiS iS MY MEAL AND i DiDN’T PARTNER WiTH McDONALD’S OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF MY HEART,” the Grinch wrote in a handwritten note on crumpled paper from Mt. Crumpit, per a McDonald's news release.
Following the meal's success in Canada, introduced in 2024, it was a "no-brainer" to bring the meal to the U.S. audience, Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer of McDonald's USA, said in a statement.
“The Grinch gets it–the holidays are chaotic, and he’s thrilled to give our fandom permission to embrace their inner Grinch with his festive mischievous meal and spirited socks," Buetikofer added.

What does The Grinch Meal include?
According to a McDonald's news release, the specialty meal includes:
- Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets
- Dill Pickle "Grinch Salt" McShaker Fries
- Medium Drink
- A pair of Grinch and McDonald's themed socks (available in red, blue, yellow and green)
