HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Florida — Charlie Woods and the Benjamin boys golf team are once again Florida state champions.

Woods, the son of 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, was Benjamin's top performer in the final round of the Florida Class 1A State Championship on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Mission Resort + Club's El Campeon. He shot 68 (4-under) to help the Bucs win the state title by five strokes and finish as the only team better than par (4-under) for the tournament.

Woods, the No. 1 seed for Benjamin, played clean golf in the final round, offsetting his lone bogey with five birdies, including on the final hole, which drew an emotional fist bump from the victorious junior. He finished tied for fourth at 2-under par for the tournament.

It's the second time Woods has been a member of a state championship golf team with the Benjamin School after the Bucs won the 1A state title his freshman year in 2023.
