Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, Justin Thomas all out of TGL season opener

Atlanta Drive will face New York Golf Club in the Dec. 28 TGL opener without Patrick Cantlay and Lucas Glover.

Already missing Justin Thomas , sidelined while he recovers from back surgery, Billy Horschel will be the lone member of the full-time team facing New York in the rematch of the Season 1 finals.

Corey Conners of Jupiter and Chris Gotterup will serve as Atlanta's alternates for the match. Conners and Gotterup are part of a pool of players available to play on one-match contracts if a team is short-handed.

Atlanta released a statement saying Cantlay and Glover are unable to play due to injury.

Atlanta defeated New York in March to win the first TGL championship, winning the first two matches in the best-of-3 format. They open Season 2 of TGL at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens at 3 p.m. The match will be televised by ABC.
