LPGA star Nelly Korda wears custom Cheesehead at NFL Packers game
Beth Ann NicholsNelly Korda’s offseason adventures included a trip to Lambeau Field on Saturday night to watch the Green Bay Packers take on the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night. Unfortunately for Korda, the home team lost 41-24, but the two-time major champion and Olympic gold medalist was presented with her own custom Cheesehead hat.
The 15-time LPGA winner spent time on the field with Gotham FC forward Khyah Harper and Atlanta Braves catcher Drake Baldwin.
This visit to icy Wisconsin didn't come out of nowhere. Earlier this year at The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark and Korda had an on-camera exchange about their favorite football teams.
"Not the Packers!" Clark exclaimed after Korda revealed her favorite NFL team. Clark, a Chiefs fan, jokingly put her head in her hand in disbelief. The pair recently played a pro-am round together ahead of the LPGA's penultimate event of the season last month in Belleair, Florida.
Last week, Korda teamed up with her father, Petr, a former major-winning tennis champion, to finish in a share of fourth at the PNC Championship, won by Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron.
