Champagne showers, a message to Donald Trump and bus ride revelry as Europe celebrates big

From epic champagne showers to bus ride sing-a-longs, there's no doubt it was a night to remember for Team Europe, 15-13 winners of Team USA in the 45th Ryder Cup on Sunday. There was even a playful message to President Donald Trump, who responded on Truth Social.

Shane Lowry, the man who birdied the last hole to retain the Ryder Cup for Europe, woke up and simply tweeted: "I might have a hangover."

This tight-knit European crew became the first to win each of the first four sessions of a Ryder Cup on away soil.

Though it looked like Sunday might be a European runaway, it turned into the closest contest since 2012. Luke Donald became only the second European captain to win back-to-back Ryder Cups, joining Tony Jacklin (1985, 1987).
