LPGA star Charley Hull says quitting cigarettes is 'the easiest thing' she's ever done

Last summer England's Charley Hull went viral after she was filmed smoking a cigarette while signing autographs at the U.S. Women's Open. Her smoking habit and increased fame became a talking point throughout the season.

Earlier this year, Hull made a hefty bet with a friend during a casual round at Sunningdale Golf Club that she'd stop smoking and posted it on social media. If she picked up a cigarette over the next two months, she'd pay him 10,000 pounds.

Just over six weeks in, the fitness-craved Hull hasn't caved.

"I think it's the easiest thing I've ever done in my life," Hull said on the eve of the inaugural Black Desert Championship in Utah.

Hull, currently No. 14 in the world, said she now uses a nicotine pouch in her top lip, but there are days she goes out and doesn't even notice that she doesn't have it in.

"Yeah, it's pretty, pretty, pretty easy," said Hull. "I'm a strong-minded person usually when I put my head and my mind to I can do it."

The Black Desert Championship features 17 of the top 25 players in the world and marks the first time the tour has played in Utah since 1964.
