These are the youngest golfers to win a tournament on the PGA Tour

A 20-year-old has won on the PGA Tour at the 2025 Rocket Classic and now he's a member of an exclusive club.

This was the third time that big-hitting Aldrich Potgieter threatened to win for the first time on the circuit and Sunday, he broke through in Detroit, surviving a five-hole playoff to do so.

The South African became the youngest winner in Korn Ferry Tour history when he won the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic in early 2024 at 19 years, 4 months and 11 days.

The PGA Tour's official media guide lists five teenagers who won events, but four of them came in tournaments played decades ago:

• Charles Kocsis, 1931 Michigan Open: 18 years, 6 months, 9 days
• Harry Cooper, 1923 Galveston Open Championship: 19 years, 4 days
• Ralph Guldahl, 1931 Santa Monica Open: 19 years, 2 months, 3 days
• John McDermott, 1911 U.S. Open: 19 years, 10 months, 14 days

Youngest winners on PGA Tour since 1983

Since 1983, there has been just one teen to win on the PGA Tour. There are now six golfers who won as 20-year-olds. Tiger Woods won twice in his 20s as did Tom Kim and Nick Dunlap. Dunlap is also one of two amateurs to win a PGA Tour event.
