Ryder Cup odds, predictions show the Americans have the edge, but by how much?
- The 2025 Ryder Cup will take place at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York.
- Team USA is favored to win on home soil after a significant loss in Rome two years prior.
- Top players include Scottie Scheffler for Team USA and Rory McIlroy for Team Europe.
- Despite being the underdogs, Team Europe is presented as a good value pick to win.
The best players from the United States and Europe will battle it out in the 2025 Ryder Cup this weekend. There will be 5 sessions across 3 days, finishing things off on Sunday with 12 singles matches to decide who will lift the cup.
The fun begins on Friday morning from Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York. Below, we look at Ryder Cup odds from BetMGM Sportsbook's odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions.
Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau headline Team USA as they host the Europeans on home soil after getting trounced in Rome, Italy, 2 years ago. Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Tommy Fleetwood are among the top players for Europe, which is seeking to win the cup in consecutive years for the first time since winning 3 times in a row from 2010-14.
Bethpage Black is sure to test all aspects of players' game, giving them a major championship-type setting, as the course has hosted majors such as the U.S. Open and PGA Championship in the past. It's a beast at 7,352 yards and only a par 70, boasting long rough, narrow fairways and difficult bunkers protecting the greens.

- Team USA: -145
- Tie: +1100
- Team Europe: +160
Europe rolled against the Americans 2 years ago when they won 16.5 to 11.5 on their home turf in Rome. USA fell behind 6.5-1.5 after the first day and never recovered, splitting Saturday's sessions and Sunday's singles matches.
Scheffler played 4 of 5 matches and won only 1 point, as did Schauffele and Collin Morikawa. It was a highly disappointing showing from the Americans, who were favored against their European foes, even playing in Italy.
They're highly motivated to correct their mistakes from 2 years ago and they'll try to do so with a new captain, Keegan Bradley. Though he didn't pick himself as a captain's selection, players are rallying around him as their appointed leader and morale is as high as ever. Team Europe always has great chemistry with veterans such as Justin Rose and McIlroy on their side, but the Americans have developed some rapport leading up to this big event at Bethpage.
- Ryder Cup: Best prop bet predictions
There's no question the U.S. has the best player at the top with Scheffler, but that doesn't mean a whole lot in a team event like this, as evidenced by his 1-point showing 2 years ago. And there are some questions about the current form of Schauffele, Morikawa and even Justin Thomas. Ben Griffin is inexperienced in a format like this, as is U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun, so that creates some concern for the Americans, too.
Team Europe is loaded from top to bottom, not only with world-class players, but with experienced Ryder Cuppers. McIlroy, Fleetwood, Rahm and Robert MacIntyre are all among the best players in the game, and Tyrrell Hatton had arguably his best season yet in the majors in 2025. Ludvig Aberg and Viktor Hovland are incredibly talented and both played well at the 2023 Ryder Cup, earning 5.5 total points for the Europeans.
From a pure talent and form perspective, the Europeans have an edge. They're deeper from top to bottom, but they're without the No. 1 player in the world. The problem for Europe is they're going to be playing in a hostile environment at Bethpage where fans are going to be rowdy, creating a home-field advantage for the Americans.
There doesn't feel like a lot of value in taking USA at -145 given the talent of Team Europe, and there's no question that number would be closer to even money at a neutral venue. As exciting as it would be to see the Americans win at home, EUROPE (+160) is the better value and a good pick to win .
