8 notables battling to make LPGA tour championship, including a past champ and former No. 1

With only four events remaining before the cutoff of the CME Group Tour Championship, it's crunch time for players hoping to vie for the biggest check in women's golf. The top 60 players on the CME points list at the conclusion of The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican will qualify for the season-ending event in Naples, Florida.

This year's CME at Tiburon Golf Club will offer a purse of $11 million and a $4 million winner's check. Every player in the field will be awarded at least $55,000 at the 72-hole no-cut event.

With seven rookies already in the winner's circle this season, there are a number of familiar names in danger of being pushed out of the Nov. 20-23 event, held at Tiburon Golf Club. China's Yan Liu sits on the magic number in the 60th spot.

Here's a list of eight notable players in danger of having their seasons cut short

61. Julia Lopez Ramirez*

Currenly only one spot outside of the field, Lopez Ramirez played her way into the final group at the 2025 U.S. Women's Open at Erin Hills, ultimately finishing T-19. The long-bombing rookie also took a share of third at the Women's Scottish Open.

66. Nataliya Guseva*

Russia's Nataliya Guseva qualified for the CME as a rookie last season, finishing seventh at Tiburon. Recently posted three top-20 finishes in the month of September.

67. Gabriela Ruffels*

Ruffels qualified for the CME as a rookie on the strength of four top 10s. Former U.S. Women's Amateur champion has only one top 10 in 2025, a T-9 at the Amundi Evian.

68. Saki Baba*

Baba's season got off to a slow start due to a clerical error by LPGA officials which left her out of the field at the Founders Cup. Former U.S. Women's Amateur champion has three top-10 finishes in 19 starts.

70. Lilia Vu*

Two years ago, Vu earned the Rolex Player of the Year title at the CME after winning two majors. In 2025, she has made only six cuts in 16 starts. Made big changes in diet this season to help with back pain. Now waiting to put it all together.

80. Rose Zhang

Two-time LPGA winner Rose Zhang is taking a two-month break to focus on school at Stanford. She entered to play in The Annika in mid-November.

98. Amy Yang

Two years ago, Yang won the CME. Last year, she won her first major. Now, she's a long way from the field. The 36-year-old South Korean has yet to finish in the top 10 this season.

103. In Gee Chun*

Chun, a three-time major winner, has zero top 10s in 16 starts this season. She currently ranks 96th in greens in regulation and outside the top 100 in putting. She is entered in the field this week.
