GOYANG-SI, South Korea — LPGA legend Seri Pak offered a toast on Tuesday night to officially welcome the world to the fifth edition of the Hanwha LifePlus International Crown. The opening gala took place at the Fairmont Ambassador in Seoul. Guests dined on caviar with gold flakes and the delectable BBQ of Yoo Young Wook.

The popular South Korean dance team, BUMSUP, performed during the dinner with K-Pop star Ren headlining the top floor after-party.

This marks the second Crown to be contested in South Korea, with the home team winning in 2018. Thirty-two players from eight countries qualified for this week's event at New Korea Country Club, including 16 of the 27 winners from 2025 and all five major champions. World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul is the only returning member of the Thailand team that triumphed in 2023 at TPC Harding Park. Both Ariya Jutanugarn and Patty Tavatanakit withdrew and were replaced in the field.

The $2 million purse will pay out $500,000 to the winning team with each player receiving $125,000.

Here are the eight countries that qualified: United States, South Korea, Japan, Sweden, Thailand, Australia, China and the World Team.
