Severe storm damages driving range at Oak Knoll Golf Course in Oregon but course reopens
Todd KellyAn Oregon golf course has re-opened following a damaging storm on Tuesday, but the practice area remains closed after strong winds blew down all the posts that hold up the driving-range netting.
Oak Knoll Golf Course, located in Ashland in the southern part of the state, about 20 miles north of the state's border with California, was hit hard by a storm that brought heavy rain and strong winds, according to a report by ashland.news, which also posted photos that show just what happened on the golf course.

The report states that the storm continued overnight into Wednesday. The golf course and the range were closed Wednesday. On Thursday, golfers were allowed back on the course but the Ashland.news report quoted city officials saying "the driving range will remain closed indefinitely while they assess the full extent of the damage."
Rachel Dials, deputy director of Ashland Parks & Recreation, said the wind knocked over 17 poles at the driving range and others were left standing, those were determined to be unstable.
