Meet the 15 teams to make the first cut at the 2024 NCAA Women's Golf Championship

CARLSBAD, Calif. — After 54 holes of stroke play, the field of 30 teams at the NCAA Women's Golf Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa's North Course is now 15 after Sunday evening's cut.
Texas A&M held on to the lead and will be out front by a shot over top-ranked Stanford heading into the final round. LSU is the only other team under par through 54 holes, with the Tigers sitting at 1 under.
Texas A&M junior Adela Cernousek is running away from the field, leading by six shots heading into the final round. She sits at 12 under, in front of Arkansas freshman Maria Jose Marin.
One one team from the afternoon wave Sunday earned a spot in Monday's final round of stroke play, and it took some heroics to get there.
Come Monday, the top eight teams after the final round of stroke play will make match play, which begins Tuesday morning.

Meet the 15 teams who made the first cut at Omni La Costa:
1. Texas A&M (10 under)
The Aggies have a knack for playing well at NCAAs. Last year, Texas A&M made the semifinals. This year, they're well on their way to again making it into match play. It all starts with Adela Cernousek, the individual leader at 12 under after 54 holes.
2. Stanford (9 under)
Stanford has won the stroke-play portion of NCAAs the past three years, so it's no surprise to see the Cardinal yet again near the top of the leaderboard. Freshman Paula Martin Sampedro is leading the charge, sitting at 4 under.
3. LSU (1 under)
LSU hasn't had the best of success at NCAAs, but perhaps this is the year the Tigers break through into match play and beyond. And they're doing it with a struggling Ingrid Lindblad, who is 13 over after 54 holes.
4. Clemson (2 over)
Clemson was the leader after the first round and has shot 5 over in each of the past two days. The Tigers are still in a great position, however, and with another solid performance Monday, they'll find themselves in match play.
5. Northwestern (9 over)
This is where the leaderboard starts to get bunched up. Northwestern moved up three spots on Sunday morning, but it needs another strong round Monday to assure itself a spot in match play.
6. UCLA (10 over)
UCLA has been one of the best teams in the country all season. The Bruins have put together a strong three days to begin the NCAA Championship, but star Zoe Campos and more will have to put one more strong round together to get into match play.
T-7. Oregon (12 over)
Oregon finished runner-up in 2022 and then missed the 15-team cut last year, so this is a big improvement. Behind freshman Kiara Romero, the Ducks have put together three strong rounds and are right in the hunt for match play.
T-7 (Auburn (12 over)
Another team that has been one of the best all season long, Auburn has a lineup that features Anna Davis, Megan Schofill and Casey Weidenfeld, a trio that could be dangerous if the Tigers can get into match play.
9. Arkansas (13 over)
Arkansas had its worst round of the week Sunday, shooting 11 over and falling a spot on the leaderboard. However, the Razorbacks are a couple shots away from being in great position to make Monday.
10. USC (14 over)
USC at one point was outside the cutline early on Sunday, but the Trojans fought back and easily made it. However, the 2023 runners-up need another strong performance Monday, like the one they had Saturday, to make match play.
11. Duke (19 under)
Dan Brooks and the Blue Devils are no strangers to playing well at the NCAA Championship. Duke was safely inside the 15 team cut, but there's work to be done Monday to make match play.
12. Wake Forest (20 over)
The defending national champions spent much of the day below the cutline but will make it to Monday. Now, they'll have to be nearly perfect to have a shot to defend their 2023 crown.
13. Mississippi State (21 over)
The SEC Champions are another team that had to be patient and wait for teams in the afternoon wave to drop to secure its spot on Monday. Like Wake Forest, the Bulldogs will need to be perfect to make match play.
14. Texas (23 over)
Texas had to be patient, playing in the morning wave and being behind the cutline for most of the afternoon. However, the Longhorns are through but have plenty of work to do come Monday.
15. Florida State (25 over)
Thanks to Lottie Woad, Florida State is into Monday's final round. After 17 pars, Woad birdied the par-5 18th to put the Seminoles a shot in front of Arizona State, being the only team playing in the afternoon wave to earn a Monday tee time.
