After a pressure-packed week in Memphis, the top 50 in the FedEx Cup Standings have made their way to Denver for the 2024 BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club. This is the first time since 2006 the Tour has returned to this Jack Nicklaus design.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler remains in the top spot in the FedEx Cup Standings, with Xander Schauffele and Hideki Matsuyama holding down the No. 2 and 3 spots, respectively.

Another 20 players will be eliminated from the playoffs Sunday night, with the top 30 earning spots into the Tour Championship at East Lake.

Several big names need monster weeks in Denver to make it to Atlanta, including Keegan Bradley (ranked 50th in the FedEx Cup), Max Homa (No. 43), Adam Scott (No. 41), Cameron Young (No. 39), Will Zalatoris (No. 37), Matt Fitzpatrick (No. 36) and Tommy Fleetwood (No. 31).

Picks to win

Patrick Cantlay (18/1)

Since missing the cut at the U.S. Open, Cantlay has four straight top-25 finishes including a T-12 effort at last week's FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Cantlay has a great track record in the FedEx Cup Playoffs, with three of his eight wins coming in the Tour postseason including two BMW Championships (2022, 2021).

Tony Finau (30/1)

Over Finau's last eight starts, he's finished inside the top 20 seven times and the top 10 three times. He's coming off a T-16 performance at the FedEx St. Jude Championship and finished the regular season with a tie for 12th at the 3M Open.

Back at home, Finau is used to playing a long golf course with plenty of elevation change, so Castle Pines should fit his eye nicely.

Adam Scott (45/1)

Over his last three starts, the Aussie has looked great. After a runner-up performance at the Scottish Open, Scott tied for 10th at the British Open and 18th at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Currently ranked 41st in the FedEx Cup Standings, Scott needs a big week to make it to East Lake.

Cameron Young (45/1)

Pro golfer Cameron Young participates in the pro-am ahead of the FedEx St. Jude Championship on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tenn.

It's always a bit dicey betting on Cameron Young. He looked poised to win his first Tour event a few weeks ago at the Wyndham Championship, but a final round 72 pushed him down into a tie for 22nd. And in Memphis, Young finished T-61.

But, he can drive it with the best of them and will be able to take advantage of that around Castle Pines. Let's see what he can do in Denver.
