Wondering what the most popular baby names in Rhode Island were in 2025?

The Rhode Island Department of Health released a preliminary list of the most popular baby names in the state. Full birth data will be completed in February of 2026.

To review, in 2024 the most common female baby names were Charlotte, Mia, and Amelia and the most common male baby names Liam, Lucas, and Noah. Here's how things may have changed inside one year in Rhode Island.

Top 10 male baby names in Rhode Island in 2025

This year, the top names in Rhode Island were:

  • Noah (63 babies)
  • Liam (61 babies)
  • Oliver (60 babies)
  • Theodore (52 babies)
  • Benjamin (48 babies)
  • Luca (47 babies)
  • Lucas (46 babies)
  • Henry (42 babies)
  • John (38 babies)
  • Jack (37 babies)

It's a slight change year over year in the top baby names with Lucas dropping out of the top three, but still in the top ten.

  • Charlotte (51 babies)
  • Olivia (40 babies)
  • Amelia (36 babies)
  • Isabella (35 babies)
  • Sophia (35 babies)
  • Aurora (34 babies)
  • Ava (34 babies)
  • Maeve (31 babies)
  • Nora (31 babies)
  • Isla (30 babies)

Mia fell out of the top 10 in 2025, with Olivia taking one of the spots in the top three.
